The Watch truTV app and website, turns on a video player that provides a live simulcast of the network’s East Coast and West Coast feeds. In addition, the Watch truTV experience includes a social playback function, which allows fans to see a curated social media feed synchronized with on-demand replays of episodes.In addition to being offered through the Watch truTV app and website, the live stream can be accessed via participating TV providers' websites and apps. To screen TruTV's live stream and on-demand content, users must log in with their TV provider user-name and password.

TruTV counts some 80 million linear subscribers. It joins the other Turner networks in offering live-streaming apps, as executives waited until the iOS 7 operating systems to launch in order to tap into those enhancements.

More than a year in the making, the TV Everywhere service is among the first to utilize Adobe Primetime, which enables dynamic ad insertion within content, rather than strictly in commercial pods. The new truTV app is Turner's first TV Everywhere play to utilize Omniture analytics in order to measure the viewership of its live streaming simulcast.
