Instructions on how to change the password of AOL email account

Now that you are sufficiently shaken, here are the instructions on how to change the password of your AOL email account.

Log in at your AOL email account.
Click “Options” and choose “Settings” from the menu.
Go to the “Accounts” section.
Click on the “Change your password” link.
A new browser window / tab would open. If you’ve set up a security question like I had done at the time of sign up, you would be asked to provide the secret answer. As I have mentioned in countless other articles, this just goes to show that the security question and the secret answer are as important as the account password.
Type in the secret answer and click the “Continue” button.
Click the “Change Password” link under the Username Options section.
You are now presented with two blank fields in which you need to type in a new password for the AOL email account .
Enter a new password in the two fields. Make sure you note this information.
Scroll down and click the “Save” button.
AOL will inform you that the account password has been changed.
