As of July 1, the Virginia Lottery is now offering most of its popular games online so you can play from your smart phone or tablet.

Lottery officials tell News 3 that the move is not in response to the current pandemic. The Virginia Lottery's communications specialist says they've been developing this new way of playing the lottery for several years.

“We think it's a natural evolution in the sales of retail lottery games. A digital platform allows us to reach consumers where they are anytime anywhere anytime they want within Virginia.”
