Vilitra 40 is the highest dose of this medication and is recommended for the treatment of serious male s*xual dysfunction problems such as erectile dysfunction (ED). Its main content is the monohydrochloride (HCl) salt of vardenafil which belongs to the phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) enzyme inhibitor class of drugs. Its mode of action is the same as other PDE-5 inhibitors, it helps to achieve and maintain a firm erection during s*xual intercourse by increasing blood flow to the muscles of the p*nis. It is effective when taken about 30-60 minutes before having s*x. Vilitra is not a contraceptive and does not prevent s*xually transmitted diseases such as herpes, HIV, gonorrhea, etc.
