Echo devices connect to Alexa need dual-band Wi-Fi networks. If the light on your device is orange, your device's Wi-Fi connection isn't working as expected. You can see what Wi-Fi network you're connected to by swiping down from the top of the screen, going to Settings and selecting Network.
