Scott: Josh Bell gets a change of scenery at the perfect time, and he’ll likely be slotted behind some teammates that are OBP gods. It’s the oldest fantasy frame going: Last year’s zero, this year’s hero.

Dalton: Ty France should replace Kyle Seager at third base next year, but he’ll act as Seattle’s full-time DH this season, making him an intriguing sleeper who’s eligible at 2B/3B. France struggled to find at-bats in San Diego, but he posted a 196 wRC+ in Triple-A in 2019 and followed that up with a 132 wRC+ across 141 major league ABs last season. Seattle is a pitcher’s park overall, but it helps boost righty power, so France might have the lowest ADP for a second baseman who’s going to swat 20+ homers.Baltimore Orioles face coverings

"I'm not planning to do it. But we'll see. I have to be in that position again to see. I'm going to try to not react that way, but we'll see. It's not easy. I know you can control it, but it's not always easy to do it."San Diego Padres face coverings

Dubon still is likely to see most of his time in center. The Giants didn't go out and sign a free agent, but they'll take a long look at LaMonte Wade Jr. this spring and believe Mike Yastrzemski is a better option than he showed last year. Dubon is still the starter, though, and it's a position he has grown to love. He said he wasn't surprised by the fact that he morphed into the everyday center fielder last year. San Francisco Giants face coverings

I'm not trying to suggest that a pitcher-pitcher open is some sort of radical or heretical draft move, by the way. People do it all the time. Pocket aces is a classic Dalton Del Don play. I'm merely suggesting that if you're gonna do it, you should map it out in advance — get comfortable with the implications of passing on the foundational five-category hitters who can be found in Rounds 1 and 2 (and possibly nowhere else).

Monday, it was Mercedes' turn, and he showed why his bat alone makes him worthy of consideration for the job, hitting a double to start a four-run fourth inning against the Angels.
