J.Crew’s exclusive New Balance allocation for the upcoming warmer Northern Hemisphere months has been revealed. The partnership will be throwing a spotlight on the new balance 996, which surely means it will be a big year of new dressings for this classy sneak. Sandy uppers with blue or yellow accents are up for grabs, or you can pick your fave colourway out of the Green/Grey/Orange number or the Red/Navy.

Taiwan-based contemporary retailer INVINCIBLE recently unveiled its third sneaker collaboration for 2015 last week, and now we take a closer look at the joint effort with New Balance. Utilizing the Massachusetts-based sportswear manufacturer’s MRL996 as a canvas, the runner is rendered in an olive base and features a dual suede-mesh upper with wingtip derby detailing on the side, while additional hints of grey and blue-grey provide a welcomed contrast. Further enhancing the shoe’s luxurious feel is the 3M detailing for the eyelets, branding, and wingtip, the caviar leather tongue, and a race horse print along the insole. Despite the classical feel of the sneaker, New Balance’s innovative REVlite technology is engineered into the sole ensuring maximum comfort.

Check out the New Balance MRL996EW, a clean and minimal iteration of New Balance’s classic silhouette. Made of leather, the upper is entirely white, with paneling and stitching for details. The iconic “N” logo is stitched upon the upper, camouflaged in white. Set upon a REVlite midsole, the shoe is lightweight and comfortable, making it perfect for the upcoming warmth ahead.

While the silhouette options are nearly endless for New Balance purveyors, the women's new balance 996 remains the most iconic model in the brand repertoire. Here we find the sneaker receiving a neat spring-apropos colorway in the form of the M996CPS “Mint.” The sneaker is here adorned with bold seafoam-esque suede and mesh through the upper, offset by dark grey hits at the midsole and heel quarter.
