The Jordans Release 2018 originally released in 1993-94 and was once again designed by Tinker Hatfield. It was the first model to be released when Michael Jordan retired from professional basketball to pursue a new career in baseball. They were not absent from the hardwood despite MJ being gone. A few PE were made for players such as Kendall Gill, Penny Hardaway and Mitch Richmond, as well as BJ Armstrong wearing a released with his jersey number on the back instead of the usual "23."Japanese design had inspired Tinker Hatfield at the time when he had begun working on the Air Jordan 9.
