What is a diode laser?

Diode lasers use semiconductor technology to produce coherent projections of light in the visible to infrared range. It uses a narrow-spectrum beam to target specific chromophores in the skin. Compared to other laser systems such as Ruby and Alexandrite, 808nm diode laser hair removal machine provide the deepest penetration levels and excellent melanin absorption. How does a diode laser work?
