Kamagra Oral Jelly contains the active ingredient sildenafil citrate, which works by targeting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). PDE5 is responsible for the degradation of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) in the smooth muscle cells of the penis. During sexual stimulation, nitric oxide is released in the corpus cavernosum of the penis. Nitric oxide stimulates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which leads to an increase in cGMP levels. Elevated cGMP levels cause relaxation of the smooth muscle cells in the penile arteries, allowing for increased blood flow to the penis and resulting in an erection. PDE5 normally breaks down cGMP, regulating the duration and intensity of the erection. However, sildenafil citrate in Kamagra Oral Jelly inhibits PDE5, thereby preventing the degradation of cGMP. This inhibition prolongs the effects of nitric oxide, allowing for sustained relaxation of the smooth muscle cells and prolonged blood flow to the penis, resulting in improved erectile function.
