Sizzling Ross Valentino Shoes Sale burns up track

Joshua Ross ran the fastest 100 metres by an Australian on home soil to capture his fourth-straight national championship at the Valentino Shoes Queensland Sport and Athletics Centre in Brisbane on Saturday evening.

The 26-year-old guaranteed his selection for the Osaka world championships in August and September with a sizzling 10.08 seconds, breaking his personal best by .02 that he had set less than two hours prior in the semi-finals.

A solid getaway from the blocks saw Ross lead early before he exploded away from the field around the midway mark to finish a clear two metres ahead of Patrick Johnson (10.27) and Adam Miller (10.29).

All three had run "A" qualifiers in the semi-finals, with Miller posting a PB of 10.17 and Johnson managing a smart 10.21.
