P2P cryptocurrency exchange platforms such as LocalBitcoins are attractive due to their decentralized nature and the ability to exchange directly with other users. This allows you to avoid middlemen and often get more favorable terms. However, there are more risks involved in the security of transactions here, and there is no guarantee of protection like on centralized exchanges, where platforms tend to keep an eye on security and control. The main thing is to correctly assess your priorities: savings or security.

I was interested in trying P2P, but after a few bad experiences I became more cautious. Once a transaction went bad and I lost money to a dishonest seller. Eventually, I switched to centralized exchangers, which although they charge a commission, but provide reliability. I read a useful article on https://quickex.io/blog where they go through the different platforms in detail, which helped me make an informed choice. Now I use Quickex centralized exchanger where I feel comfortable and safe.

P2P platforms give freedom and lack of intermediaries, but I believe that centralized exchanges are still better for novice users. They provide more tools for protection, including reserving funds and the ability to appeal transactions. Yes, commissions may be higher, but in the long run it is justified due to security.
