Former Boston Red Sox security agent Eddie Dominguez has alleged retired Red Sox sluggerDavid Ortizhad a connection with a gambler while playing with the team.Dominguez is theco-author of a new tell-all book titledBaseball Cop: The Dark Side of America鈥檚 National Pastime. Dominguez claims to have had an informant close to Monga who witnessed Monga placing a bet on a game in Chicago between the Red Sox and White Sox on July 24, 2005. Monga, according to the book http://www.kansascitychiefsteamonline.com/patrick-mahomes-ii-jersey , placed a bet on the White Sox to win as well as on the 'over.'"Dominguez alleges eventually Monga and others in Ortiz鈥?entourage were banned from the Sox clubhouse, a development the writer says Ortiz did not like."Dominguez does not specifically accuse the slugger of having any role in the gambling."To be clear, I had no proof that Ortiz was placing bets through Monga鈥攐r had ever done so鈥攂ut Monga, who was hanging around the clubhouse, was betting thousands of dollars against the Red Sox Authentic Derwin James Jersey ,"Dominguez wrote. Ed Dominguez reported to his superiors at MLB that that investigation, which led to multiple arrests in 2008, did not implicate any players." DETROIT (AP) — Detroit Tigers television announcers Mario Impemba and Rod Allen have been suspended for the rest of the season after allegedly getting into a physical altercation earlier this week.Fox Sports Detroit announced the decision on Friday. The longtime popular pair reportedly tangled in the broadcast booth Tuesday before a game in Chicago against the White Sox.“After speaking with all involved parties, Fox Sports Detroit has decided not to schedule Rod Allen and Mario Impemba for any future Tigers telecasts this season Authentic Aaron Donald Jersey ,” network spokeswoman Courtney Welch said in a statement. “Since this is an internal matter, we will have no further comment.”Impemba and Allen are in their 17th season as the team’s main television team. Allen has split color-commentating duties with Kirk Gibson and Craig Monroe in the past two seasons.Matt Shepard and Gibson, who traveled to Chicago to announce Wednesday’s game.
