Streaming today, Kanye discussed the popularity of the adidas YEEZY line, its high demand and subsequent upcoming growth. If you follow him, you know this. Of all the stats and stunting, perhaps the most beneficial Tweet to an aspiring creative looking to work in the footwear and design industry was this:Originally released last December as one part of a Yeezy bundle that cost well over $700, the adidas Yeezy 500 “Super Moon Yellow” is now set to make a singular retail debut this summer.
Widely recognized at the Yeezy 500’s original colorway, “Super Moons” will release in wider numbers this June after the “Blush” edition saw a similar rollout earlier this month.The latter saw numbers relatively large where Yeezy releases are concerned although it’s not yet clear just how available the “Super Moon Yellow” pairs will be. Yet when considering the Boost allowance, and this shoe has none, it would appear easier to produce in larger numbers.
As of now, it’s reported that the shoe will release on June 9, 2018. Retail pricing will be $200 USD. Adidas has not yet confirmed the release date. Colored in varying shades of noir that appear strategically dusty and faded, suede and leather cover much of the vintage-styled silhouette that also highlights mesh paneling. The aged, weather aesthetic appears much more prominent on this black pair as opposed to the much lighter Blush edition.
Release details for the adidas Yeezy 500 “Utility Black” are not yet available. Yet with all the previews coming from Kanye himself, they could be dropping sooner than expected.
