My gmail address I use on all websites whenever necessary has never gotten the spam I now get on my DSLR email address that I do not use to register anywhere. Who has sold my email address? I got 6 spam today, and I think 3 yesterday. But there were none for the previous 2 weeks.
I'm doubting that the addresses were sold.

I was getting around 3 per day, until a month or so ago. Then it stopped.
Spammers do use dictionary attack and other ways of trying to guess possible email addresses.
