If you encounter Error 79 on your Printer it is most probably because there is a problem with the internal firmware. You can use the steps below to update the firmware and fix the problem:
• Step 1: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your HP printer to router or modem
• Step 2: Go to the control panel on your HP Printer and select “Network”
• Step 3: Check the IP address displayed on the printer
