Bengals CB Josh Shaw and DT Chris Okoye clear waivers Womens Kevin Huber Jersey , revert to Injured/Reserve Two players waived by the Bengals with an injured designation on Saturday have cleared waivers and will now revert to the team’s Injured/Reserve list.Those players are fourth-year defensive back Josh Shaw and rookie defensive tackle Chris Okoye. Shaw has a groin injury and Okoye an ankle injury.Shaw suffered his injury in the Bengals’ third preseason game and quietly didn’t play in the preseason finale. The defensive back who has played both cornerback and safety for the Bengals was waived on Saturday. Shaw was expected to make the roster following George Iloka’s release in August as he’s a versatile defensive back with experience on the team.The Bengals drafted the former USC star in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He fell that far in the draft due to a scandal at USC in which he jumped off a balcony during a fight with his girlfriend, got injured and then lied about it. 2018 is the final season of Shaw’s rookie deal. He’ll now be shelved on IR for it.Okoye is a undrafted rookie who signed with the Bengals on May 14 after participating in rookie minicamp. The 6’5”, 325 pound tackle played in all 13 games last season for Ferris State and recorded 25 tackles, including two for losses, with a half-sack and a forced fumble. He played in the preseason finale in 25 percent of defensive snaps and 3 percent of special teams snaps, so he must have gotten hurt sometime during that game, though the team never announced an injury for him.The Bengals could release either player with an injury settlement Kevin Huber Jersey White , but for now, they’re on IR.
