It depends on what is needed and what other resources are in place. Nursing homes cost upwards of $80,000 per year, but that fee gets you room, board and care. If you are indigent (less than $2,000 in assets, not counting your home equity) Medicaid picks up the cost of a nursing home, making it “free” except for your Social Security and/or pension check.

Well, it sad to admit but somethimes our parents do need some care outside. Our family faced the problem of caring for an elderly grandfather. He had a stroke. After the stroke, his legs were broken. All American Home Care helped us a lot. This is 24/7 Home Care Health Service in Philadelphia. His specialists help my grandfather enjoy a better quality of life at home. Simply give them a try
