Simple tips to Restore Backup Files In QuickBooks
Your backup file contains your business data as much as the date the backup was made. Make sure you restore the most up-to-date file.
Follow these steps to restore a local backup from a CD, USB flash drive, local disk drive, network folder, or other media. In the event that you backed up your company file utilising the service provided by QuickBooks Online Backup, you have to restore it throughout that same service. For more information about

Restrictions: Since your backup copy is in a compressed file format, you have to make use of the restore wizard to create the data back in QuickBooks. Do not use the Copy command from Windows.
Please perform the below mentioned steps to replace the backup files:
If the backup file just isn't in your hard drive or perhaps in a network folder, insert the CD, USB flash drive, or any other storage device into the appropriate drive.
In QuickBooks, go directly to the File menu and click Open or Restore Company to start the restore wizard.
Click Restore a backup copy (.qbb) and then click Next.
Click Local backup and then click Next. The Open Backup Copy window opens.
If needed, click on the Look in drop-down arrow and navigate towards the location where you saved the backup file, which has a .qbb file extension (for instance, mycompanyname.qbb).
Select the backup file and click Open.
Click Next.
If needed, click on the Save in drop-down arrow and navigate into the location where you like to restore the backup file.
Select the backup file, click Save, and respond to any messages QuickBooks may display.
Note:
If QuickBooks finds a company file with similar name within the folder you specified, QuickBooks asks whether wish to replace the existing file. If you click Replace, QuickBooks erases the existing file and replaces it with the file you’re restoring. If you’re not certain you prefer the existing file erased, click Cancel and give the file you’re restoring an unusual name.
The organization file is converted to a consistent company file, with a .qbw extension (or a .qba extension if the backup was made from an Accountant’s Copy). The business file and all of their related files are stored in this location.
