Galvanized steel structure meteorological mast

The Galvanized steel structure meteorological mast has light weight and small span with the fixing of steel guyed cables, so it's also called guyed met mast tower. This tower is mainly used to set the brackets for the wind measurement equipment. The structure types can be divided into guyed structure or self-standing structure.

The guyed met tower use less steel and are more cost effective, but take larger land, mainly used in open land with enough area. The self standing structures are mainly located in the heavy populated region. The tower body steel grade is mainly Q235(Fy=235N/mm2 and the technical condition shall met with China national standard GB700-88.

The Galvanized steel structure meteorological mast composted by tower sections, steel guyed cables, insulators, anchorage parts and wind measurement instrument brackets and other steel components. The anti-corrosion treatment for this structures are mainly hot-dipped galvanization or painting. The structures are stable to ensure 50years without rusting risk.

The design parameter shall be in accodance with the following stipuliations:

Design wind velocity speed: 40M/S (depending on customized design)

Ice load: 5mm-7mm(depending on customized design)

Seismic fortification: 8°

Temp: -35℃∽45℃

Vertical deflection: <1/1000

Grounding Resistance: ≤4Ω https://www.huawusteel.com/steel...ture-meteorological.html
