Now grant it these are not 1:1 comparisons. Almost everything is oversold these days, internet, power, water etc. it's done based on assumption that not everyone will be maxing out. BUT if I buy unlimited data at a datacenter for a server and it's only 50 bucks, well they are counting on me to either not use it much, or to be using the excess others aren't using. Home internet is the same way. You invest/upgrade your infrastructure to support the demand.

Giving free speed doubles etc. isn't investing in anything, because along with those yearly speed increases I am seeing 1-3x a year some sort of price increase along with new mandatory caps/limits etc. So while my bill keeps going up, you give me a way to hit those limits faster, how is that advancement?

I agree it cost money, man power etc. to do and maintain this stuff, but that's what our monthly fees are for, which again, are among the highest in the world for the low speeds you get.

They should cap lower priced plans for people who don't want to use as much.
