With NFL training camps underway, the league is abuzz with position battles, injury news and rookies making an immediate impact. Arian Foster Jersey . Each day, TSN.ca provides the latest rumours, reports and speculation from around the NFL beat. Nice To Know You The Indianapolis Colts seem to be all business this training camp. The Colts released promising running back Chris Rainey Monday less than a week into camp. According to ESPNs Adam Schefter, the 26-year-old was released for violating team rules and not for performance-based reasons. The move comes as a surprising one with running back Vick Ballard slated to miss the entire season after tearing his left Achilles tendon last week. Rainey signed with the Colts late last season and played in two games as a return man. Why Risk It? Adrian Peterson might not see any action this preseason, not due to an injury, but because theres no point using such a talented player in a meaningless game. According to NFL.coms Ian Rapoport, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said he has nothing to see from the 29-year-old running back in exhibition games and might just keep him on the sidelines. At the most, Peterson may get a carry or two if hes interested. The six-time Pro Bowler is entering his eighth NFL season in 2014. Not Taking Any Chances If the Houston Texans are going to improve on their dismal 2-14 record from a year ago, theyll need Arian Foster to be healthy and ready to go for Week 1. Thats why the running back will not participate in Mondays practice for the Texans after leaving Sundays workout early with a leg injury. The 27-year-old only played in eight games last year with a back injury. Head coach Bill OBrien was asked about Fosters condition after practice on Sunday. "Is Arian OK? As far as I know." Getting An Edge Micah Hyde has been one of the more delightful surprises for the Green Bay Packers this training camp. The second-year player is being converted from cornerback to safety and has the early edge over Ha Ha Clinton-Dix whom the Packers selected 21st overall in this years draft. "Seamless," head coach Mike McCarthy told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel regarding his initial impressions of Hyde. "Micah Hyde is a football player. I think you can line him up anywhere. You really can." The Journal Sentinel also says that Hydes playmaking ability and familiarity with the defence has given him the advantage in the Packers secondary. Hyde appeared in all 16 games last season with Green Bay, starting three. Rookie Worries Kelvin Benjamin has yet to play a single game in the NFL and has already had his first MRI. The Carolina Panthers wide receiver underwent a precautionary MRI on Monday after banging knees with a teammate Sunday during practice. The MRI results indicated Benjamin has a bone bruise in his left ankle and is day to day. "We got a bit of good news," Rivera said Monday. "Its stable and everything is fine. Theres nothing structurally wrong. It is bruised. There is a swelling and what we refer to as a hot spot." The Florida State product was selected in the first round (28th overall) of this years draft and was expected to help replace the loss of veteran wide receiver Steve Smith, who left for the Baltimore Ravens. Feeling Alright After missing the entire 2013 season with a devastating ACL injury, Philadelphia Eagles wider receiver Jeremy Maclin is back and as healthy as ever. Head coach Chip Kelly says the 26-year-old looks "fantastic" in training camp and many believe hell be the No. 1 wideout on the Eagles depth chart when Week 1 rolls around. Maclin told the Daily News that this is the strongest hes been in a long while. "You can just base it off certain things that you do in the weight room, on the football field," he said. "And also mentally stronger. When I talk about stronger I mean everything that goes into it." Philadelphia is relying on Maclin to help replace DeSean Jackson, whom the Eagles released at the end of last year reportedly due to off-field problems. Chris Clark Texans Jersey .In the womens draw, Maria Sharapova overcame eight double-faults, including four as she served for the match, to defeat Ana Ivanovic 6-0, 6-4. She will take on Petra Kvitova in the final after the Czech player beat Samantha Stosur 6-3, 5-7, 6-2. Benardrick McKinney Jersey . Now Adam Silver can put his stamp on the NBA. OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata to a US$61-million, five-year contract on Tuesday. His agent, Mike McCartney, said Ngata will get $40 million in the first two years of the deal. The All-Pro defensive tackle has 10 tackles, six solos, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. "It just feels awesome," Ngata said in a statement. "I wont have to worry about my family, my kids, with money problems. For me to be here another five years is great. Hopefully, I can be here and retire here." "Halotis re-signing is significant as we push to win consistently and battle for champioonships," Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said. Custom Texans Jersey. . "His leadership is not only integral to our defence, but also the entire team. This is another commitment from (owner) Steve Bisciotti making sure we keep our best players." The deal came before Tuesdays NFL deadline to sign a multi-year contract or extension to a franchise player. Ngata headed into this season with a $12.4 million franchise tender that was fully guaranteed. Ngata was selected 12th overall by the Ravens in the 2006 draft. The former Oregon player has 12 career sacks, three interceptions, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries. wholesale jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap soccer jerseys wholesale jerseys wholesale jerseys cheap nfl jerseys china ' ' '
