Nike’s collaborations with Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh set a reconstructed, DIY trend for Comfortable Shoes footwear last year, and now the label continues the theme with its latest Zoom Pegasus 35 in collaboration with artist Nathan Bell. Featuring marker-pen doodles on the midsole, heel cup, insole, outsole, tongue and laces, Nike’s handwritten-style quotes and drawings subtlely customise the “Oreo” themed running shoe.


The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 FlyEase combines the responsive cushioning of full-length scratchlin Zoom Air with the adaptive technology of the FlyEase closure system. Free of laces, the closure system connects a hook-and-loop strap to a wraparound zipper, allowing the runner to put the shoe on or take it off in one fluid motion. Featuring the same performance technology as its non-FlyEase version, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 FlyEase retains a supportive Zoom Air / cushion foam midsole, an out-turned collar from the Achilles for comfort and a beveled heel.


Seen above, the Nike Red Zoom Pegasus Turbo Be True starts off with Anthracite covering the majority of the shoe with large black Swooshes hitting the side panels. A rainbow stripe is placed down the entirety of the tongue to signify the LGBTQ connection. A reflective heel with BE TRUE branding and a white midsole and black rubber outsole cap things off.


The result was a stunningly slick Nike Air Pegasus 89 Black/White/Grey of shoes, built for use every day, but capable of slicing seconds from your personal bests. As well as being named after a flying horse, they also look pretty fly, in a variety of colourways. Running shoes have definitely got a lot sexier in recent years, and Pegasus Turbo are a great example of that.
