PA12 has the smallest density of polyamides, low water absorption and good dimensional stability. The mechanical strength and rigidity of PA12 are lower than that of PA6 and PA66, the tensile strength, bending strength and bending modulus decrease with the increase of temperature, the influence of water absorption is small, the friction coefficient is lower than that of PA6 and PA66, and it has excellent friction properties and wear resistance. The melting point of PA12 is 178C, which is obviously lower than that of PA6 and PA66, but it has excellent low temperature resistance and a wide temperature range of -55 ~90C. PA12 has good electrical performance. PA12 has excellent resistance to gasoline and lubricating oil, dilute acid, alkali and various salt solutions, but it is dissolved or swollen in concentrated sulfuric acid, formic acid, benzene, toluene, phenolic compounds and potassium permanganate and other oxidants.
