I am not the one to judge since I am a straight guy. But I being in the fashion industry for many years at this point I can definitely say that chains are more losers than winners when it comes to picking up the outfit. And yes, in US the overall chain climate is different from Europe. At the same time the gold chain is very hard to combine with an outfit so that it looks in place and very stylish. Some people can pull it off and it is nice, but on the majority it looks out of place.
