Why Can't i access Google Assistant settings?

Hello,
I can no longer access 'More Settings' from the Google Home app. It just gives me the error: "Can't retrieve the settings. Check your connection". If I go into any of the sub menus (like my Home and Work locations), all the information is blank. When I ask my Google Home my name or age, she no longer knows who I am. The same thing is happening when accessing the Google Assistant from my phone.

Hello Launch Google Assistant by long pressing the Home Button. Tap Next on the "Meet your personal Google Assistant" screen. Tap Continue on the next screen to allow permissions. And that's that. You might also be prompted to configure voice activation, which just involves you repeating "OK Google" three times. Pretty simple! Thank You.
