A water meter measures and records the water consumption of households, enterprises, and institutions. It is usually mounted on a water pipe and shows the water consumption through a rotating pointer. Learning to read the water meter can not only help us save water and avoid waste, but also have a good idea of the statistical water bill, and find problems (such as leaks)..

Check for leaks
Turn off all indoor and outdoor water, including wine spinner, ice maker, etc. If the meter shows no significant movement, take note of the reading on the meter and come back a few hours later to see if anything has changed. Note: If you use water during this time, the meter reading will change. If you notice movement, check all appliances, faucets, toilets, and other water sources for dripping or leaking water.
