1. Definition of grinding wheel: The grinding wheel is a kind of grinding tool. It is a porous body made by pressing and baking of abrasive and bonding agent. The three elements of the hot sale 9" cutting off wheel are abrasive grains, binder, and pores.
2. Classification of grinding wheels:
According to the abrasive material: super hard material grinding wheel and ordinary grinding wheel
Superhard material grinding wheel: diamond grinding wheel and CBN grinding wheel
Ordinary grinding wheel: corundum grinding wheel (such as white corundum grinding wheel, brown corundum grinding wheel, single crystal corundum grinding wheel, grinding wheel, etc.)
Silicon carbide grinding wheels (eg green silicon carbide grinding wheels, black silicon carbide wheels, etc.)

According to the bonding agent: resin bond grinding wheel, metal bond grinding wheel (bronze grinding wheel), ceramic bond grinding wheel, electroplating process grinding wheel.

According to the particle size: coarse grinding wheel, semi-fine grinding wheel, fine grinding wheel, polishing wheel.

Divided by shape: cup-shaped grinding wheel, bowl-shaped grinding wheel, dish-shaped grinding wheel, cylindrical grinding wheel, parallel grinding wheel, double-sided concave grinding wheel, parallel-arc grinding wheel, single-sided reinforcing grinding wheel, double-sided reinforcing grinding wheel, etc.

According to different grinding products: grinding wheel for toilet paper industry, grinding wheel for the corrugated paper industry, grinding wheel for metal industry, a grinding wheel for the non-metal industry, etc.

According to the hardness: the hardness of the grinding wheel reflects the difficulty of the abrasive particles falling off the surface of the grinding wheel under the action of grinding force. If the grinding wheel is hard, it means that the abrasive grains are hard to fall off; the grinding wheel is soft, indicating that the abrasive grains are easy to fall off. The hardness of the grinding wheel and the hardness of the abrasive grains are two different concepts. When selecting a grinding wheel, it should be noted that the hardness is selected properly. If the grinding wheel is selected too hard, the blunt abrasive grains will not fall off in time, resulting in a large amount of grinding heat, causing the workpiece to burn; if selected too soft, the abrasive particles will fall off too quickly and the cutting will not be fully utilized. effect. When selecting the hardness of the grinding wheel, you can refer to the following principles:
(1) The hardness of the workpiece The harder the workpiece material is, the hardness of the grinding wheel should be selected to be softer, so that the blunt abrasive particles fall off quickly, so that the grinding wheel often maintains sharp abrasive grains to work, avoiding the workpiece being too high in ground temperature. burn. The softer the workpiece material, the hardness of the grinding wheel should be selected to be harder, so that the abrasive particles fall off more slowly, so as to fully exert the cutting effect of the abrasive particles. However, if soft materials such as non-ferrous metals, rubber, and resins are ground, a softer grinding wheel should be used to prevent the surface of the grinding wheel from being blocked by the grinding debris.
(2) Machining contact surface When the contact surface between the grinding wheel and the workpiece is large, the soft grinding wheel should be used to make the abrasive particles fall off faster, so as to avoid the surface burn caused by the grinding debris blocking the surface of the grinding wheel. For internal grinding and face grinding, the hardness of the grinding wheel should be lower than that of the externally ground grinding wheel. When grinding thin-walled parts and workpieces with poor thermal conductivity, the hardness of the grinding wheel should also be chosen lower.
(3) Fine grinding and forming grinding When grinding and forming grinding, hard grinding wheels should be used to maintain the necessary shape accuracy of the grinding wheel.
(4) Grinding wheel granularity The larger the granularity of the 12 inches cut off wheel, the lower the hardness should be selected to avoid the surface of the grinding wheel being blocked by the grinding debris.
(5) Bonding agent The resin binder has poor heat resistance, and the abrasive grains are easily peeled off, so the hardness is higher.
