They’ve beaten them just twice. You can pin the blame regarding their latest 28-21 loss on injuries the defense suffered, or a missed penalty on the Youth Ryan Glasgow Jersey Steelers final play of the game. But every team suffers injuries, and since when do the Bengals get favorable calls against their biggest rival? Those ultimately factored into the final score, but as defensive end Carlos Dunlap wisely put it after the game, they weren’t the biggest reasons why the Steelers once again beat them on their home turf.“Insanity is when you keep doing the same thing over and over and expect different results,”Proclaimed Dunlap. “We made some mistakes that we made before. We’ve got to learn from them. Once again.”In Dunlap’s career, he’s witnessed just one home victory against Pittsburgh back in his fourth season in 2013. He’s been a part of nine losses at home at the hands of Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. The loss his team suffered Sunday was very similar to the several that have come before.Dunlap and the rest of the Bengals pass rush was grossly ineffective at pressuring Roethlisberger, whom Dunlap joked about earlier in the week. While the Steelers offensive line handled their business, the Bengals offense gave up numerous pressures and allowed a handful of drive-killing sacks on quarterback Andy Dalton. In a similar fashion, the Steelers ended up with over 100 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns from running back James Conner Cheap Jessie Bates III Jersey , while the Bengals rushing game was non-existent for most of the second half. Both teams diverged in separate phases of the game and even though the Bengals clawed their way back to a one-point lead with just over a minute left to play, the Steelers controlled the game, like they always do against the Bengals. Dunlap has seen this movie before, and he knows the refs and injuries aren’t the primary culprits. The definition of insanity is the definition of the Bengals in this kind of scenario. A defining win before a crucial showdown on the road against the AFC-leading Kansas City Chiefs in primetime would’ve been huge for the Bengals. Instead, they’re left hanging their heads after fighting tooth and nail with their arch nemesis. After the game, players on both teams got into a fight on the field, a result of the frustrating loss the Bengals suffered. Frustration is good if it can be applied towards progress. But if this game showed anything, it’s that the Bengals haven’t made enough progress to warrant taking them seriously when the season is on the line. When will progress show? When the Bengals prove they’ve overcome the perpetual trap of insanity that they currently reside in. It is no secret the Bengals came into Sunday’s game vs. the Saints already banged up. The biggest news of the day for Cincinnati came before they took the field when it was reported that A.J. Green will be “likely” be out till at least December. Although, news didn’t get much better during the game.Adolphus Washington, defensive tackleThis one flew under the radar in Sunday’s loss Youth William Jackson Jersey , but apparently, Adolphus Washington suffered a knee injury that could sideline him several weeks, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Washington has been getting a healthy dose of snaps when active this season after being signed from the Cowboys’ practice squad in late September. He has logged 102 snaps this season in four games of work. Ryan Glasgow is already out for the year with his own knee injury, so expect to see a lot more Josh Tupou going forward, and don’t be surprised if another defensive lineman is signed soon. Clayton Fejedelem, safetyFejedelem exited near the end of the second quarter of the Saints blow out. He received an inadvertent kick to the side from one of his fellow defenders as he pursued the runner out of bounds. He had been heavily involved in the first half, as the Bengals with more three-safety looks, but after he failed to return it seemed like the Bengals were more content to go back to mixing up between their nickel and base 4-3 defense. There hasn't been any more news about Fejedelem since he left the game, which is a bit weird. We may have to wait until the first injury report to see if the team's special team's ace will miss anytime. Dre Kirkpatrick, cornerbackKirkpatrick left the game with a concussion and was replaced by Keivarae Russell on the outside. It honestly didn’t have too much of an impact on the game Cheap Geno Atkins Jersey , because at that point the Saints were content with just running the ball. In fact, Kirkpatrick suffered his injury after several defenders missed their tackles on the running back. This becomes a bigger issue if Kirkpatrick can’t suit up next week as the Bengals are already down a number of defensive starters. We will likely be tracking Kirkpatrick's progress through the concussion protocol. Depending on how quickly he gets through it will be the difference between him returning and us seeing either Russell or Darius Phillips starting in his place on the outside.Prior injures/ InactivesLB Vontaze BurfictWR A.J. GreenLB Nick VigilWR Josh MaloneOL Alex RedmondCB Darqueze Dennard TE Tyler KroftThe two new names to this list are Josh Malone and Alex Redmond. Malone only made a thin receiving group without Green that much thinner. We actually saw Auden Tate’s first active game because of this. It was still Cody Core and Alex Erickson who took a vast majority of the third receiver snaps on Sunday though. Core ended up with two catches for 17 yards.Redmond’s injury came at as perfect of a time that an injury can happen. Rookie center Billy Price just returned from his foot injury that had kept him sidelined since Week 2, so the Bengals moved Trey Hopkins, who had been filling in at center, over to fill in at right guard. Price and Hopkins had a few plays where they struggled, but to be fair no one on the offense was putting their best foot forward.
