In a filter press, the filtrate is collected through the following process:Setup: The filter press consists of a series of frames and plates arranged alternately. Each plate has a filter cloth that allows liquid to pass while retaining solid particles. Feed Introduction: The slurry (a mixture of liquid and solids) is pumped into the filter press manufacturers. It enters through the feed inlet and fills the chambers formed between the plates. Filtration Process: As the slurry is pressed into the filter press company, the liquid (filtrate) passes through the filter cloth, while the solid particles are trapped, forming a cake on the filter surface. Filtrate Collection: The filtrate flows out through the drainage ports located at the bottom of the press. These ports are designed to direct the collected liquid into a designated storage tank or drainage system. Cake Removal: Once filtration is complete, the press is opened, and the solid cake can be removed from the plates, allowing for the next filtration cycle to begin. This process is efficient for separating solids from liquids in various industrial applications, including wastewater treatment and mineral processing.
