Ms Adcock bought the circa 1ha property in 2010 with friends Jeanine and Sebastian Bardon, who own retail business Bardon Design, which developed stores for the Danish jewellery brand. The property is in the picturesque Tarana Valley just outside Bathurst. It was built in the 1840s and later restored in the 1990s to include a main homestead with five bedrooms and two bathrooms. Mr Bardon said the restoration equipped the house with modern amenities, while retaining its original character. “retained the rammed earth and wattle daub timber facade, so Mutton Falls is still very much the original homestead but with the conveniences of a modern home, ” Mr Bardon said. The property, which is listed through Unique Estates Australia, is surrounded by an avenue of pandora necklace online poplar trees and was once used as a farmhouse and dairy.

Original owner Anne Webb also managed a general store on the property that was unsuccessfully held up in 1867 by bushrangers Larry Cummins and John Foran. The old dairy has been set up as a barn with an entertainment facilities that include a dance floor, bar and sound system. There is also an old shed converted to a onecar garage and workshop, a chook pen and a well that provides water for the estate’s array of country gardens. A second cottage sits next to the main homestead and has two bedrooms. Mutton Falls has most recently been operated as a B & B and events space. The sprawling estate has country gardens and is surrounded by an avenue of poplar trees. Within the homestead the bathrooms have claw foot baths and the lounge has an enormous fireplace where the old kitchen stood.
