Go into your Alexa application and check your Wi-Fi settings. If you see a singular blast of purple light after a relationship with Alexa, that suggests you have Do Not Disturb engaged. To turn Do Not Disturb off, go into the Alexa application, select the contraption you're using, select Do Not Disturb and flip it off.
