For about a week now my modem can not sync higher than 1856 kbps. I have had this line for 3 years and this have never happened before. Normally it will be at 3008 with S/N at 11 to 15. Now it is S/N at 6. I power cycled everything. I connected strait to the box outside the house. There was no difference. I also used a different modem with different power supply and it did not improve. It is definitely a step change. Can anyone give some advice?

Metro Chicago. Modem is 2Wire Wireless Gateway 2701. To rule out the modem I tried speedstream 5100 the result was similar.
