With just one year of accrued experience towards free agency, Brown was scheduled to be an exclusive-rights free agent when the season began, and the Packers could have offered him a one-year tender for the league minimum salary to maintain exclusive contract negotiation rights.It is likely that this contract agreement is for the same type of deal: one year for the league minimum. It simply means that both sides were content with the arrangement and that Brown’s camp sees no need to try to negotiate for a longer deal — this provides him with an opportunity to remain with the team through the offseason and training camp with the chance to earn a roster spot in the preseason.The Packers have six other exclusive-rights free agents on their roster: Reggie Gilbert, Jake Kumerow Brett Favre Jersey , Justin McCray, Lucas Patrick, Adam Pankey, and Robert Tonyan.
