Let’s stir that drink."The Pro Bowl happened yesterday http://www.thetexanslockerroom.com/authentic-jeff-allen-jersey , and by saying it happened is like saying a tree fell down when you are going along a nice forest stroll and there’s a bark carcass snapped over the trail. Sure, the tree fell down. Sure, the Pro Bowl happened. But did it really happen? The only thing of importance to come from it was this. Deshaun Watson threw a touchdown pass to Jalen Ramsey. Pass rush doesn’t exist. No sizing anyone up on the outside. Ramsey runs a slant I guess. This isn’t football so football things we say like run a route, or pass set, or drop step, don’t have any real attachment to reality. Watson threw a pass, in the sense that the ball left his hand and traveled in the air as a result of the force he put on it, but this isn’t football, so it really isn’t a pass. And they said it was a touchdown, which isn’t really even a touchdown. Watch the clip below. The AFC ‘coach’ was Anthony Lynn. Now Lynn is actually the Head Coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, he isn’t the head coach of the AFC Martinas Rankin Jersey White , and I love him very much for making this thing happen. He allowed this to occur in between two sidelines. Thank you Mr. Lynn. This is important in the fact that Jalen Ramsey is a top five defensive back, but is a mercurial personality. He hates playing on a losing team. The blues can crawl up his sleeves when Blake Bortles is missing wide open seam routes. Last year he was anxious and upset, and for good reason, the Jaguars fell from the AFC Championship, a game they should have won, to a puddle of dumpster water made from the freshest squeezed corpses. I love Ramsey, not only because he’s incredible and is one of the best in the league in what he does, but how he plays. He’s a pair of sweaty crunchy socks stuck to blistered cover feed thirsting for moleskin. His arms are long and equipped with echolocation. Press coverage is easy when you have a chest as strong as his. The mouth piece dangling because of constant yapping. And when he yaps he doesn’t hesitate to say how he really feels, unlike the rest of us sheep, who are forced to keep it boiling inside. As much as Ramsey talks, he has nothing but pleasantries for DeAndre Hopkins and Deshaun Watson. Said Ramsey of Watson this past offseason. Said Ramsey of Hopkins this past offseason. This is all fan fiction. BUT the Houston Texans need defensive back help. They have none of it. If Jacksonville doesn’t grab a competent quarterback and Ramsey is once again toiling in misery why would he want to stay? Why would he want to continue to go up against Watson and Hopkins every year Julien Davenport Jersey White , when free agency exists, when first round picks exist? What some saw yesterday as a cute thing in a football masquerade, I see a ****. A trickle of water. Expansion from freezing. Time. Friendship and respect. I see a future that I want to see. Houston Texans rookie running back Terry Swanson rushed for a 37-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to lift the Texans to a 14-6 win over the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason finale Thursday night. The undrafted rookie running back out of Toledo, who served as an understudy to the Chiefs’ Kareem Hunt in college, found a hole with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to put the Texans up two scores. Swanson finished with 69 yards on 17 carries. Both teams rested their starters.Houston took a 7-3 lead in the first quarter after third-round pick safety Justin Reid intercepted Cooper Rush’s pass to set up a 4-yard touchdown run by Alfred Blue. Blue, competing for the backup job behind Lamar Miller, rushed for 18 yards on four carries, while Troymaine Pope rushed for 21 yards on five carries. The Cowboys scored on two field goals from backup kicker Brett Maher, one on their opening drive from 57 yards and one late in the fourth quarter from 41.Texans backup quarterback Brandon Weeden started and went 3 for 9 for 22 yards. Behind Weeden, Joe Webb went 11 for 18 for 136 yards.Rush played the entire first half and some of the third quarter, finishing 14 of 25 for 83 yards and two interceptions. Behind Rush Justin Reid Jersey White , Mike White went 13 for 21 for 118 yards.57<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:PHOTOS: Texans wrap-up preseason with 14-6 win over Cowboys in battle of the backupsThe two Texas teams will have a regular-season rematch in Houston in Week 5 on “Sunday Night Football.” Dallas leads the series 3-1 and has won the last three meetings since the Texans won their first-ever matchup in their inaugural game in 2002.Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott served as a team captain during the coin toss, even wearing his helmet. Before kickoff, however, Prescott put his helmet away and immediately exchanged his cleats for sneakers to settle in as a sideline spectator.Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, who didn’t play during the preseason, said at halftime he’s excited to get back on the field.“Camp is long, the preseason is long, but there is nothing like that first game when the lights come on for real,” Elliott said.Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson also wore sneakers, even fashioning a makeshift bandana out of a towel. While many Texans starters wore baseball caps on the sideline, nose tackle D.J. Reader stood out with a gray bucket hat.NATIONAL ANTHEMNo players from the Cowboys or the Texans kneeled during the national anthem.PUNTING BATTLEWith veteran punter Shane Lechler in a battle with rookie Trevor Daniel Womens Ryan Griffin Jersey , the Texans alternated punts and placekick holding responsibilities. After Daniel excelled in the first half, he punted one out of bounds that went just 30 yards. Lechler followed with a booming 61-yard punt to the Dallas 20-yard line.MANCZ GETS EXTENSIONThe Texans signed starting center Greg Mancz to a two-year contract extension on Thursday.
