Watson threw a pass, in the sense that the ball left his hand and traveled in the air as a result of the force he put on it, but this isn’t football, so it really isn’t a pass. He’s a pair of sweaty crunchy socks stuck to blistered cover feed thirsting for moleskin. His arms are long and equipped with echolocation. Press coverage is easy when you have a chest as strong as his. The mouth piece dangling because of constant yapping. And when he yaps he doesn’t hesitate to say how he really feels, unlike the rest of us sheep, who are forced to keep it boiling inside. Swanson finished with 69 yards on 17 carries.Both teams rested their starters.Houston took a 7-3 lead in the first quarter after third-round pick safety Justin Reid intercepted Cooper Rush’s pass to set up a 4-yard touchdown run by Alfred Blue.
