The future of Air Max is almost here, as the Nike Air Max 2016 Dames will release on November 19th. It took almost three decades to get here, as Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 creation hit retail shelves in 1987 and put in motion the creatively head-turning design of visible air. The overhauled design showcases Nike’s affection for pushing forward as the 360 degree air bubble has been a lasting feature for the past couple of flagship models. Engineered mesh and Flywire support return this year too in a slight redesign from last year’s model, while the Swoosh placement switches from a reverse aesthetic on the heel to the forefoot.

In fact, it’s been the only calling card really as a wide array of uppers have changed throughout while only the size and shape of one of the Swoosh’s signature technologies has grown over the years. Nike is changing things up a little for the latest Nike Air Max 2016 Sale release though, as they’ve covered up the “Air” with a sleek metallic silver midsole. We’ve seen plenty from the latest Air Max featuring the translucent 360 degree Air bubble, but here the engineered mesh and dynamic flywire upper is the focal point thanks to the new-school bottom. So far only two colorways have appeared featuring the alternate tooling.

The Nike Air Max 2017 Dames is almost here, and for those that still pay attention to the yearly update to The Swoosh’s flagship full-length Air runner, today you can get an on-foot preview of the shoe. Sure, the modern Air Max models certainly don’t get as much love as the classics—possibly because they all look about the same and cost more than most people are willing to spend on a running shoe—but the big bubble loyalists can enjoy a look at a vibrant women’s colorway of the shoe in a Bright Grape to Fire Pink transition across the mesh upper here.

Details still remain rather limited in regards to the Nike Air Max 2017 Sale, but from the official photos previewed throughout this post, the rigid mesh construction creates a wavy upper that bolsters the side panel and heel for a head-turning design sure to make, well, waves once a number of colorways arrive on November 7th in men’s, women’s, and kid’s size runs. The signature Engineered Mesh construction adds a flexible ventilation to the forefront and helps solidify a gradient before reaching the reflective 3M Swoosh branding on the side panel.

The Nike Air Max 90 Dames mudguard and midsole are both some of the most original created in the realm of 1990s runners. With the AM90 Woven, Nike Sportswear completely disregarded these two standout features to take the Air Max 90 into unprecedented lifestyle territory with freshly minted woven side panels to rival even the Nike Footscape Woven Chukka. Past releases have showcased this new feature in the context of a monochromatic upper, but here a contrasting Black and White work rather well together.
