QuickBooks Multi User Mode No Longer Working

Solution 1: Test network connectivity

Ping the server name from your own workstation

Share the folder and put up folder and Windows access permissions to share company files
Copy the QuickBooks Database (QBW) file into the new folder
Open your business file in multi-user mode again Solution 5: Set hosting to local files
Launch QuickBooks and press F2 to open up the Product Information screen
Into the lower left, below Local Server Information, select Hosting to reflect ‘local files only’
Make certain that no other client system is wanting to host exactly the same company file
