"There’s no doubt that adidas Originals prides itself on their classic silhouettes, and if you’re talking timeless Three Stripes models, the adidas stan smith UserPostedImage still continues to be a noteworthy icon in their lifestyle range even 60 years after its inception. Having already repurposed its simplistic design with intriguing upgrades such as Gore-Tex uppers and velvety suedes this season, the everyday staple is adding a pair of striking makeovers to its lineup with the welcoming of two new iterations dressed in matte metals. Both styles arrive gleaming in shiny metallic coatings, with the first pair arriving in silver, and the second in rich gold. While the midsoles are left untouched, both renditions’ insoles feature distinct patterns with the silver pair featuring oversized spots, and the gold pair opting for trefoil icons.

Uppers are constructed with a “Black” tumbled leather and are reinforced at the toe. While rooted in the triple-black DNA brought to the forefront of hype by Supreme last month, this pair is most reminiscent of the Chicago Bulls-inspired nike air force 1. Free of any pin-stripes or jewel logos, “University Red” interrupts the tonal scheme at the lateral quarter panel and profile Swooshes. Scarlet tones also animate the non-original labels on the tongue. Grey “NIKE AIR” text at the heel further deviate from Bruce Kilgore’s ’82 design, but colorless bottom-halves round out the look with some semblance of familiarity.

Taiwanese premium retailer Invincible is set to take its collaborative efforts back to New Balance for a brand new take on the iconic new balance 574 silhouette. Having previously worked on models the likes of the 1400, the two entities have a rapport that has led to another collaboration that will undoubtedly entice consumers. Dressed in dark hues, Invincible decided to use multiple materials on the sneaker to give it life, with shaggy suede around one of its mudguards, and smooth on the upper. That mix-and-match aesthetic continues throughout the rest of this offering, as elements the likes of its patented “N” branding as well as its heel switch on and off from the left sneaker to the right.

2018 has been a year of creation, growth, and exciting new silhouettes for puma rsx. From the launch of the Puma Hoops line to their entry into the chunky dad shoe market with the Thunder Spectra and several new takes on their classic RS-X sneakers, they’ve brought several striking products to market over the last 10-odd months. Next up for the German brand? Their RS-X Reinvention sneaker. A modernized version of a classic design from the ’80s, the Reinvention features a silhouette that’s bulky but not overbearing and leather/suede overlays for a look that’s new but still rooted in Puma’s performance heritage, complete with details like a unique Formstripe graphic/a large tongue tab.

If their recent collaborations with size?, Supreme, and CDG are any indication, Vans’ timeless vans era silhouettes continue to prove themselves time and time again that any pattern, color, or material utilized on their silhouettes can result in a compelling makeover. After recently applying warped checkerboard patterns on an exclusive Sk8-Hi collection at BILLY’s Tokyo, it looks at though the 1970 psychedelic graphics are now making their way onto this brand new installment of the classic Era SF. Furnished with canvas uppers and UltraCush sock liners, this newest rendition opts for a minimal black and white color scheme – a departure from the more vibrant previously released warped makeovers – with the asymmetric patterns wrapping the upper in its entirety, allowing its full marshmallow sole to provide a clean and contrasting aesthetic."
