As you can see, the tag sports the phrase “Family Forever”, along with an inspirational message. The aglets mention Michael Jordan’s late father, and the tag also sports a set of numbers that appear to be the birth years of three of his children (The latest of his offspring weren’t likely to have been around when the shoe was created). Kanye new balance and adidas have been working together longer than you think. According to Kanye associate Ibn Jasper, Mr. West was the design mind behind the adidas ZX 850. The story goes that Kanye designed the sneakers for Reebok and they were later repurposed for the adidas David Beckham line when the Three Stripes acquired Reebok. Also interesting is that Jasper claims that West whipped them up back in 2006 – which is rather strange considering the 850 didn’t debut till last year.
