Food is a primary need and not only plays an essential role in our day to day life but is also something that we look up to when we throw a party or an event. For something which could be consumed within minutes, food does take an optimum time for preparation. For years together people used to slog in the kitchen cooking food until a revolution happened in 1995 and the first food delivery service was introduced in the US and is still functional as Waiter.com.
As days went on people's fast-moving lives did find a lack of time to afford hours together for cooking. That is exactly when food delivery apps came as a boon.
Food delivery apps fetch a good turnover and are something which is never going out of need and usage. Swiggy was the first food delivery app launched in India and it did bring in a lot of changes to the food industry by booming their profits of small scale hotels as well.
Few popular food delivery apps in India are:
1) Swiggy
Swiggy is the first-ever food delivery app introduced in India. It is the most sought after food delivery app in India because of the easy usage and its accessibility to nearly 44 major cities in India. Swiggy accounted for an operating revenue of Rs 1,128 crore for the year 2018-2019.
2)UberEats
UberEats is the next most sought after food delivery app in India. It is an American online food delivery app and slowly made its way into India in 2017.
Within three years the company has gained a very good reach and is used efficiently. It is one of the 20 most downloaded apps in India as per a survey.
3) Zomato
Zomato is a popular food delivery app and not only has food delivery options but also dine-in information and reservations. Zomato has a vast variety of restaurant options to choose from. Zomato is a go-to for people who prefer to eat healthy and hygienic as the app has pictures of the ambience of the restaurants and the menu as well.

Cloning a food delivery app:
Cloning a food delivery app is a good choice.
1)Cloning an app not only replicates the already existing successful app easily but also necessary changes can be made considering the bugs and limitations in the original app.
2) Building a new app from scratch is time-consuming and on the other hand cloning, an app takes much lesser time than building an app.
3) Cloning an app is also cost-effective and doesn't cost a fortune like building a new app. Cloning an app would cost around 5000$ whereas building a new app would cost around 15000$ or more.
4) It is also easy to maintain because the company also provides technical support along with the purchase of the cloning script.
5) The cons of cloning an app are the limited autonomy in customization of the software and also the lack of the exact quality of an original app.
