The show started with a playful translation of the straitjacket, which was a complex construction of sleeves the length of 5 meters that could be separated and worn as a skirt or sweater. The faces of all the models seemed to be sunken in and the mouths were shut by silver and red duct tape, which was placed on in the shape of a smile. The collection became more colorful because of the addition of luxury denim and because Golden Goose Super Star of the print of the collection. The collection title was in the shape of a ransom note with cut-out letters using the logos of fashion houses, media corporations, and fast-food chains.Antoine says: "The collection actually started from the humorous title that I once wrote down, and that combined with the simple yet complex challenge to amalgamate a small T-shirt with a 10XL T-shirt, with a renewing silhouette and elegance being the result."

From there, Suno hits the sweet spot and the collections triumphant stride: its all down a beautiful hill of still jacquard florals, abstract florals atop cut-out dresses and stiff, thrilling (read: voluminous) silhouettes. The major highpoint is a pattern that happily (and smartly, as its been Instagrammed to death by those with backstage access) finds its way across pieces: a loose checkered basketweave dotted with gems on a cream background. Splayed across basic GGDB Super Star Sale dresses, boxy button-downs and loose bottoms, its Sunos best achievement.

You have to look at these fashions as costume. I guess theres probably a few Lady Gagas and Nicki Minajs out there that we havent even heard of yet, and they need clothes too. And some of the pieces could probably be pulled off by a normal person if you run with the fashion crowd or just style it way way down. But its best not to even think about trying to wear the clothes, just let the dragon chase you.

This season the designer’s collection boasted a slew of slim silhouettes and varied color palette the made the looks range from dark and subdued – almost gothic – to bright, patterned, but still structured. Ghesquiere designs for a strong, confident woman who stands out from the pack (that’s why, given her strong features, I thought it was so fitting that they had Jennifer Connelly as their face for awhile), and all of his looks have a sort of futuristic, robotic feel to them.
