Astralis have taken their first-ever leading tournament win with a 2-0 victory over OpTic Video gaming in the ECS Season two Grand Finals.

Astralis' major with OpTic was some thing of a grudge match, because OpTic defeated Astralis 2-1 at the ELEAGUE Season a couple of finals just one week previously. This time, the Danes taken their NA rivals having a dominant 16-6 on Overpass and a narrower 16-11 upon Train.

Astralis finished towards the top of the ECS regular time of year European division with a 13-5 record, and topped their own finals group as well along with best-of-one wins over OpTic and FaZe Clan. These people went on to beat SK Gaming 2-0 in the very first round of the playoffs group before sweeping OpTic within the Grand Finals.

Though it does not take first time the organization has gained an offline title because it was founded in January, people Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, Philip "dupreeh" Rothmann and Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz took house plenty of trophies in 2015, while they were signed in order to Team SoloMid.

In Oct, Astralis swapped in-game frontrunners, dropping Finn "karrigan" Andersen in favor of Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander. Since then, the team have seen only success, placing 3rd-4th in IEM Oakland, then 2nd at ELEAGUE and now 1st at ECS.
