Adding the hits of Black and Grey balances out the the overall design of the shoe and also makes it a bit more versatile to wear after all the firework smoke has settled. An Encap midsole, custom insoles and special branding on the tongue complete the look.


Using the new balance 990 red, they give it a patriotic makeover dressed in Red, White and Blue. The shoe is constructed in suede and mesh that includes “Stars and Stripes” lettering on the Red and Blue insoles. Opting for a classic construction, the shoe comes with a premium suede upper accented by the leather hits noted on the heel region and tongue. Additional features on the shoe include the tonal laces, contrast stitching, perforation hits and White Vibram sole units.


new balance 990 v4 Constructed using a premium Horween leather all throughout the upper, this New Balance 990 comes covered in a dark burgundy hue all over the upper with subtle hits of red on the piping. Textured leather can then be seen on the tongue, heel tab, and around the ankle to add to the premium look. Grey “N” branding on the side panels and a white ABZORB midsole wrap up the look. The upper of the 990 is executed with pigskin suede and features its acclaimed Abzorb cushioning technology. The shoe’s midsole boasts Concepts branding in varsity-style lettering, 3M reflective detailing on the heel and sidewalls, and gray and navy accents.


Inspired by a specific hue of purple, which is extracted from a sea snail, the collaborative new balance 990 v2 Tyrian will release in limited quantities within the days to come. The first offering from Concepts and New Balance in 2017 will come equipped with premium details and crafted with luxury-inspired stories. In ancient times, garments were dyed using Tyrian Purple, a hue of purple that was made through extracting a natural purple dye from sea snails, were extremely expensive and reserved for royalty due to the extreme time intensive process of collecting the snails and extracting the dye. The Concepts x New Balance 990v2 Tyrian is dressed in full purple, premium suede with perforated details and reflective hits on the N logo underlay and heel tab. Concepts branded lace aglets and tortoiseshell lace lock round out the premium details of this pair.
