Compared to the Raspberry Pi 3, the Raspberry Pi includes several important improvements. First, the processor was upgraded from the Cortex-A53-based Broadcom BCM2837 to the newer Broadcom BCM2711. It uses a 1.5GHz 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-72 architecture. The new processor also includes a better GPU, the Broadcom VideoCore VI, clocked at 500MHz. This means that the Raspberry Pi is much faster than the 3. The memory has also been upgraded, from 1GB, 2GB and 4GB versions to 2GB, 4GB and 8GB.

The Raspberry Pi 4 also uses a USB-3.0 port for the first time, and the Ethernet port is upgraded to a true Gigabit Ethernet connection. The power port has also been replaced by USB-C with micro-USB, and there are two HDMI ports (both micro-HDMI) that can connect two 4K monitors at the same time.

In short, the Raspberry Pi 4 is better than the 3: faster, more memory, better ethernet connection, and 4K video support!

The difference between Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi Zero

The naming convention of Raspberry Pi is simple, from Raspberry Pi 1 to Raspberry Pi 2 to 3 and 4. But there is another member of the family, the Raspberry Pi Zero. It is very different from other models of Raspberry Pi, but it is more affordable.

The design of the Raspberry Pi Zero is different from other models. Compared with other models similar to the size of a credit card, its size is smaller, only 65mm*30mm. And the GPIO pins are not populated, but can be soldered on their own. There's no wired Ethernet connection, and there's no USB-A port, just a micro-USB port. In addition, the processing power is close to that of the Raspberry Pi 1, and it is not as bright as the later quad-core Raspberry Pi models. However, it is very cost-effective, and the price is only a few dozen dollars.
